Magnificence signs publishing deal with Universal Music (UMPG).
Universal Music Publishing recently signed a publishing deal with Dutch DJ/producer duo Magnificence. The duo, hailing from the Netherlands, is currently one of the most sought-after names in the world of Dance Music. Effective April 1st, Magnificence will be added to Universal Music Publishing Group’s roster.
UMPG bring their industry-leading expertise and their global network of songwriters to the table while, in return, Magnificence are an exciting addition to Universal’s portfolio. They are widely regarded as one of the most promising talents in the house music scene and were invited to studio sessions with Martin Garrix, Tiësto and Axwell, who took to Twitter to announce that “Magnificence are the future.”
Mark Bremer, Managing Director at UMPG Benelux, states “It’s exciting for us to start working with Robin and Maurice. They are incredibly talented and we’ll be hearing a lot from them in the years to come.”
Universal Music Publishing is the leading music publishing company in the world, which publishes a catalog of over 3 million songs. Magnificence, in person of Robin Klaver and Maurice van der Molen, will join an exclusive group of high profile artists who have signed with UMPG, such as Martin Garrix, Zedd, Axwell & Ingrosso, Kungs and The Him. Universal is further also home to major pop artists including Adele, Coldplay, Ariana Grande and Post Malone.
The new partnership was set up by Magnificence manager Herman-Jan Wildervank at Epic247 Music Group, who states: “I‘m proud that we made this new chapter possible for Magnificence. Their huge potential was evident right from when we started working with Magnificence two years ago. With the right support and workflow, I was confident that we would be set to break through on a global scale. This signing is a commendation for the steps Magnificence took together with us and it marks a fresh new starting point for the years to come.”
“I have been producing music since I was a child and I always looked up to Universal Music” says Robin Klaver, who believes that the new partnership “is a reward for our hard work and will inspire us to create and release more fresh productions and new songs. This is just the beginning, we couldn’t be more excited to have Universal Music Publishing as our partner.”
Few days prior to Ultra Music Festival Miami, and exactly one year after Swedish House Mafia debuted the first Magnificence EP in their reunion set, the Universal deal kicks-off yet another exciting year for Magnificence. With new music bound to be released in the next weeks and several major festival shows confirmed for this summer, the future looks bright for the young duo.
