Laura van Dam releases Insomnia as the 3rd installment of her forthcoming ‘Capture EP’. An Ode to her female producer inspiration Sister Bliss as part of Faithless. Laura her Insomnia remake received big live support from Korolova (Resistence US, Kiev, Hi Ibiza, Parookaville) and Laura van Dam herself (incl Red Rocks, Brooklyn Mirage, Dreamstate SoCal, Parookavilla (Ger), Mysteryland (NL), Dreamfields (Mex).
Capture EP – For the Capture EP Laura selected 4 highly personal projects based on the energy as captured in and transmitted by rocks, a force of nature Laura feels strongly about, and which helped her in decisive moments of her life. With Ruby chosen as the main EP rock, to capture and spread the message of Love, Strength and to ability to overwin obstacles in life. The melodramatic piece “Get Lost” is represented by the Charoite rock, representing the art of letting go of any negative opinions and projections as received by people in our surroundings. The Tiger Eye is bringing the message of confidence and courage, similar the emotions that Laura hopes to bring with “Rule the World” as a strong message to her younger self. The melodic techno gem “Concentrate” together with Ukrainian talent TRYAD is represented by the Fluorite gem, being the mineral stone to promote mental clarity, awareness and to enhance concentration. And finally, the Lapis Lazuli for “Insomnia”. The semi-precious stone as the enhancer of deep sleep and boosting lucid dreams.
Laura van Dam – During 2024 Laura van Dam has made decisive steps in the career, while maturing her sound and playing several key performances at Red Rocks (USA), Ultra Miami Worldwide stage, playing an extended 3 hours set Ushuaïa Ibiza, Dreamstate SoCal (USA). Dreamfields (Underground stage with Agents of Time, Massano, ANNA and Deborah de Luca) in Mexico, Breakfast Club Medellin Colombia, Mysteryland (Amsterdam), Parookaville (Germany), Creamfields Hong Kong, making her debut gigs in Australia at Hyperdome and being amongst the first names to be confirmed for A State of trance Festival Rotterdam in 2025.
Art & animations provided on the release by Jeroen Vos, responsible for some of the most iconic visual works in dance history, including the ‘Elements of Life’ album artwork and ‘In Search of Sunrise’ tour visuals for Tiësto.
